All about the 5 Days:Ol Pejeta – Lake Nakuru – Masai Mara Safari.

Ol Pejeta remains the epitome of wildlife conservancy. It boasts the largest black rhino sanctuary in East Africa and houses the only two remaining northern white rhinos in the world. You will also get the opportunity to visit the sweet-waters chimpanzee sanctuary – a haven for orphaned, abandoned and rescued chimpanzees.

You will then proceed to arguably Kenya’s most diverse park- lake Nakuru. From the pink flamingoes on lake Nakuru, over 450 bird species to eastern black and southern white rhinos, lake Nakuru remains unparalleled destination for exotic wildlife.

We wrap it up at Masai Mara where you might be lucky to witness a wonder of the world. The wildebeest migration, a spectacular annual migration of wildebeest from the mara into Serengeti from July – October. The Africa’s iconic reserve is a spectacle to behold!

  1. Day 1 Nairobi Ol Pejeta conservancy

    Arrival – Nairobi, Kenya

Upon touchdown at the Jomo Kenyatta International Airport, you will receive a warm welcome by our driver/guide who will transport you to your hotel to relax and recharge during your stay in Kenya’s capital.

Today, you will awake to the exotic birdcalls in a magical new world with the whiff of Kenyan serenity. We will meet at 7:00am for a safari briefing before we take a drive to the famous Ol Pejeta Conservancy. We will arrive at camp with enough time to settle in before lunch with a little time to relax before we head out for our first game drive between 1500hrs to 1830hrs. Host to all the members of the ‘Big Five’ (elephant, rhino, lion, buffalo and leopard), the conservancy has a higher wildlife-to-area ratio than any Kenyan national park and is one of only four private game conservancies to have been founded in Kenya. At the forefront of the Kenyan conservancy programme, the conservancy boasts the largest black rhino sanctuary in East Africa, hosts the only chimpanzee sanctuary in Kenya, and shelters large numbers of rare and endangered species. Your luxury camp is a sheltered oasis, clustered around a water hole and set in the pristine calm of the private Ol Pejeta Conservancy; Sweetwaters Serena Camp offers a charming blend of under-canvas ambiance and Kenyan safari luxury.

    Main Destination: Ol Pejeta Conservancy

Overnight: Sweetwaters Serena Camp (Luxury Tented Camp located inside Ol Pejeta Conservancy)

Lake Nakuru National Park offers you a rare insight into Kenya’s most diverse flora, fauna and wildlife and is famous for its huge flocks of pink flamingoes. The birds throng on Lake Nakuru itself, one of the Rift Valley soda lakes that comprises almost a third of the park’s area. More than 450 species of birds have been recorded here as well as a rich diversity of other wildlife. Lions, leopards, warthogs, waterbucks, pythons, and white rhinos are just some of the animals you might see, and the landscapes range from sweeping grasslands bordering the lake to rocky cliffs and woodland. The park also protects the largest euphorbia candelabrum forest in Africa.
