Established in 1946 the Nairobi National Park is approximately 7 km from city center.  It is the only national park within the city.  This 117 square kilometer park boasts a wide variety of wildlife.

This includes, but is not limited to lions, buffaloes, rhinos, impalas, elands, leopard, giraffe, and over 500 species of birds.   In this magical experience you will enjoy a comprehensive game drive tailored just for your tastes.  Your comprehensive game drive will include discussions on animal species, vegetation, migration patterns and more.

What we’ll do

Nairobi is home to a myriad of incredible sites and this half day tour showcases some of the best in this East African city. Follow our expert guides into the breathtaking landscapes of Nairobi national park ,where you will have the chance to see the nation’s iconic animals in the wild.

Enjoy lunch in a local restaurant and then a stop at the Karen Blixen museum, to learn the history, culture and traditions of Kenya’s diverse people.

The tour ends with a visit to the giraffe center, where you’ll have a chance to learn about the endangered Rothschild giraffe and see how major conservation efforts are being made to protect this graceful animal.

Our guides are well trained to tailor the experience just for you. This feature will be led by gold-category guides, certified through the Kenya Professional Safari Guides Association.

  1. 6:00 AM Nairobi National Park Game Drive

    The worlds only wildlife capital. A short drive out of Nairobi’s central business district is the Nairobi national park. Wide open grass plains and a backdrop of the city scrapers,scattered acacia bush play host to a wide variety of wildlife including but not limited to;the endangered southern white and the eastern black rhinos,lions, leopards ,cheetahs ,hyenas ,buffaloes,giraffes and diverse bird life with over 400 species recorded. Visitors can enjoy the parks picnic sites,three campsites and walking trails for hikers

  2. 11:00 AM David Sheldrick Elephant Orphanage

    The David Sheldrick wildlife trust (DSWT) Elephant nursery provides a safe haven to orphaned baby elephants rescued by the DSWT.

    The nursery provides the first stage in the hand rearing and development of milk dependent baby elephants. Once they graduate from the nursery, aged 2-3 years, the elephants move to one of the DSWT’S reintegration centers in Tsavo east national park,from where they will ultimately return to the wild.

    We’ll enjoy Lunch at a local restaurant.

    1. Open from 9:00am to 5:00pm, seven days a week. Feeding and tours operate throughout this time.

      Proceeds from the entry fees go towards their conservation education work. You’ll get the chance to learn about the Rothschild giraffe and conservation efforts.

  5. 16:00 PM End of Tour

    Drop off.

Being a day tour, no accommodation will be provided, however, accommodation can be arranged on request at a fee.
